Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy
The Lodge, Vale Golf, Hill Furze, Bishampton, WR10 2LZ
All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and we want to make sure that we take every step to protect our clients, their families and our staff.
Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, so we have implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of. We have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd and the GCC. We have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.
We are committed to ensuring that every measure is in place to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19, but we cannot guarantee there is no risk to you as a result of attending the salon.

We are currently not allowed to accept those with COVID-19 symptoms, those who are self-isolating or shielding, or living with someone with symptoms, or who is self-isolating or shielding at home, or have been in contact with anyone with or suspected to have COVID-19. In addition we will individually review anyone in the vulnerable “at risk” groups defined below:

In order to reduce the risk of transmission and protect our clients, morning appointments will be reserved for clients who are in these vulnerable categories. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but we are committed to doing everything to protect our clients safety and this will be constantly under review to reflect changes in Government Guidelines.
In ALL cases, we will contact you prior to offering you an appointment so if you are unsure about anything, we can discuss this prior to making an appointment.
Online booking is now available but you MUST complete our COVID TRIAGE before your appointment.
If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be offered an appointment with another therapist or you will be able to re-book again.
If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT for 14 days. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness/self-isolation.
Chaparones – If you require a chaperone or parent/carer to assist you to come for your appointment, they will be required to complete the same Triage Questionnaire as you or they must remain in the car during the appointment unless agreed otherwise. Friends, partners & children cannot accompany you to the salon unless they are also receiving a treatment.
Visiting the Salon
For your safety and to maintain social distancing, we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving. Full details of our Arrival Policy will be explained to you when we make your booking.
We already have strict hygiene practices but we have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client. We have added extra space to allow for social distancing & you won’t be invited into the salon until we have completed our cleaning regime.
All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with our own COVID Risk Assessment for your safety. Wherever necessary we will utilise single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.
You will have access to soap and hot water to wash your hands with as soon as you enter the salon.
We will understand and not be offended if you wish to wear your own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when you visit the salon and during your treatment. Face coverings are compulsory for all clients coming for treatments and we will provide you with a face mask if you don’t have one.
Please don’t be surprised or upset if our staff use PPE during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves, aprons, face masks & face shields where appropriate.
We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority we can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C.
All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment areas at the end of each day.
We have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and we have decided that the following treatments cannot be provided until further notice.
-All facial waxing & tintint
-Indian head massage
-All Hot Stone Massage
-Ear Candle Therapy
We will review this every 14 days.
During your treatment
Our staff understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.
We will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and we will do what we can to accomodate you.
After the treatment
In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by card. If your treatment exceeds the contactless limit (£45), we might ask you to make 2 smaller payments.
All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our staff. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
